We’re learning that regular sleep is an important contributor to good health. Yet too many people have erratic sleep habits and don’t get a healthy 7-8 hours of sleep each night.
But if you’re a poor sleeper, all hope is not lost.
Researchers in Finland have discovered a key to health that even poor sleepers can take advantage of. Their research shows that you can enjoy many of the same health benefits that a “sleep-like-a-rock” sleeper gets as long as you have a regular bedtime, even if your overall sleep time is cut short.
So at the very least, establish a regular bedtime routine. Get to bed at the same time each night (plus or minus 30-60 minutes) and your brain, heart, muscles and joints will all thank you.
