Once again, research proves that investing in your brain pays big (and long-lasting) dividends.

As reported in the Journal of the American Geriatric Society,  individuals who received a brief course of cognitive training continued to enjoy the benefits ten years later.

The researchers tested three different types of cognitive training.  One helped to boost your reasoning capabilities.  Another was designed to enhance memory.  And a third tried to increase the speed with which you could process incoming data.

The details varied among the three different interventions, but all three had a positive effect which could still be discerned ten years after the initial training period.

The bottom line: invest in the health of your brain now.  It will pay dividends down the road.
