Just Do This Every Morning
- Hold weights in both hands. Depending on your fitness level, you can use an amount of weight ranging from 2 pounds to 30 pounds.
- Walk up a flight of stairs.
- Repeat 10 times.
Your only excuse not to do this is if you have bum knees – bring a doctor’s note and you’re excused.
The rest of you – get moving!

I should think that wearing a 10-pound backpack while walking the city streets and climbing subway stairs should provide somewhat equivalent benefits.
